Invention Disclosure:
The present invention provides a technology for software / firmware upgrades for an analog television using a USB memory flash. Conventionally, such an upgrade was achieved by using a computer and often required returning the analog television to a service center. The present invention allows the user to upgrade the software for an analog television at the customer premises by simply providing the upgrade to the analog television through a memory. In an embodiment, the analog television communicates with the memory through a USB interface.
The key features of the invention were identified as follows: Feature 1. The firmware is upgraded in an analog television. Feature 2. The firmware upgrade is loaded from a memory device. Feature 3. The memory device is connected to the analog television using a USB port.
Currently a PC is needed to reprogram a TV microcontroller flash memory through USB, what this solution propose is to eliminate the use of PC and directly from a USB Flash memory re-program a TV micro.
This invention makes it easy for end user to upgrade software for Television without sending back to man...
