The use of carbomer compatible Titanium Dioxide (and) Dimethoxydiphenylsilane/ Triethoxycaprylylsilane Crosspolymer (and) Hydrated Silica (and) Aluminum Hydroxide T-Lite MAXTM in combination with other UV filters and/or other actives used in cosmetic formulations is described. It refers amongst others to daily Care, Sun Care and Colour Cosmetics.

Generally the oil phase containing the stabilisers is heated to 80°C.

For the preparation of the formulation, the pigments (Z-COTETM and T-LiteTM) are preferably added to the oil phase and homogenized 3 minutes at 5000 to 11000 rpm. The thickeners can be neutralised at the end of the preparation or as the water phase is prepared and then added to the oil + pigment phase.

The formulations containing no waxes and featuring Luvigel®EM can also be prepared cold, i.e. no heating required.

The quantities given in the following formulation examples are in percent by weight.
