In the high efficiency 1U system, we usually can only support 12" wide planar to reserve the space for two redundant PSU. Nowadays, we have a new planar architecture which has dimension as 6.5" x 15"~18" (width x depth). We call it as half-wide planar. If we want to support two half-wide planar in 1U space, the total planar area width will be more than 13". Thus, the chassis width can not support two 1U high efficiency redundant PSUs in 1U space if the chassis want to install into standard 19" rack. The invention can solve this problem and still have half-hot swappable function. In one embodiment, the system can comprise a PDB, a redundant PSU and a Redundant & Hot Swappable PSU. The dimension of the PSU can be 40mm x 80mm x ~mm (HxWxD). The depth of the PSU can depend on the PDB dimension and chassis depth. The height of the PSU can depend on the internal fan unit dimension.

AC golden finger - AC power through AC golden finger divide into two current flow. One for rear PSU the other for the other one PSU. Use this concept we can series connect more than two PSU if needed.
