Disclosed is a method and system for providing a touch enabled Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switch for selecting nodes. A user navigating the touch enabled KVM switch is provided with an option to flick through one or more nodes by sliding a finger on a screen of the touch enabled KVM switch. The user may slide the finger from left side to right side or vice-versa for switching between the one or more nodes. Alternatively, the user may perform an action on the screen of the touch enabled KVM switch which results in displaying a matrix menu of the one or more nodes. In addition, the results may be displayed as a preview of the one or more nodes. Subsequently, the user selects a node from the one or more nodes by touching the node displayed on the screen of the touch enabled KVM switch. Additionally, the user is provided with an option to check mark desired nodes from the one or more nodes displayed on the touch enabled KVM switch. Thereafter, the user may switch between the check marked nodes by performing a single up/down flick.

The method and system disclosed may be implemented by programming a touch enabled KVM switch to display a touch enabled menu of nodes. Further, the KVM switch may display a preview of the nodes.
