Method and System for Governing Amplified Sound

Disclosed is a method and system for governing amplified sound. The method and system includes adding a series of sound pressure monitors that control, limit, and report the actual sound pressure experienced by an audience. A computer system is connected to one or more sound pressure monitors to receive sound pressure inputs that are generated from one or more loud speakers. The computer system displays the current decibel readings on its monitor. If the decibel readings indicate a sound pressure greater than a tolerable value, the computer system sends signals to an eGoverner device that automatically reduces the power generated and sent by an Amplification Sound System to the loud speaker. Alternatively, a human operator can quantitatively control the sound levels by setting the volume at levels that are measurably observable, known and safe.

Thus, the method and system disclosed herein allows governing of amplified sound to safe and tolerable levels.
