Method and System for Automatically Initiating Conference Call

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically initiating a conference call for participants of the conference call.

The method and system allows a participant to manage the conference call using an "integrated calendar application". When the participant receives and accepts an invitation for the conference call, the participant is required to provide contact information for reaching the participant. The participant may use a "dial-out component" to provide the contact information that needs to be used for reaching the participant. In an instance, the participant may designate multiple contact numbers that may be used for reaching the participant to initiate the conference call. Further, the participant may provide time settings for initiating the conference call. For example, the participant may specify that the conference call be initiated 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time in order to greet other participants as they join the conference call.

An exemplary interaction between the participant and a "conference system" and the "integrated calendar application" is illustrated in the figure.
