The disclosure provides an operational data store (ODS) for finacle that supports a business-entity based data model for extracting data from source application such as Finacle core, Finacle CRM, Finacle treasury and Finacle eBanking. The Finacle ODS includes functional business views which acts as a business layer on top of source system base tables for the specific need of ODS. It further includes Extraction Transformation Load (ETL) program component for homogenization which enables standardization of data coming multiple data sources and also capturing history data. The Finacle ODS again includes an error and audit management module. It also includes meta data management solution that provides descriptive information about the data that resides in the ODS and provide complete lineage across systems.

FINACLE OPERATIONAL DATA STORE

FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE

The disclosure relates generally to data warehouse system. In particular, the disclosure relates to finacle operational data store, the data warehouse product from finacle.

BACKGROUND

Banks deal with huge amount of data which are dispersed across different system in organization's environment. The challenges to banks include ability to quickly generate a report from disparate data source at minimal cost and effort, confidence on the quality of data presented in the report. Presently, there is no data model exists on top of finacle. There is no specific integration of data layer from Finacle suite of applications such as Core, CRM, e-Banking to be able to do MIS reports and generate downstream feeds on top of it.

Consequently, there is a need for an operational data store for finacle which empowers banks with a secure and reliable technology infrastructure to derive optimal value from data and meet a whole range of operational, business and strategic objectives.

ABSTRACT

The disclosure provides an operational data store (ODS) for finacle that supports a business- entity based data model for extracting data from source application such as Finacle core, Finacle CRM, Finacle treasury and Finacle eBanking.
