Abstract
A method of efficiently and selectively removing unwanted content from a mobile device is proposed. This publication proposes to white-list / blacklist all contents and then schedule a cleanup for the blacklisted items during the idle time of the phone.

Problem Statement
Cleaning up unwanted content (sms, mms, cache, history, etc.) on mobile devices is not efficient. For example, most systems require the user to initiate a total clean up which includes everything or manually delete each individual item. The clean up activity needs to be done regularly in order to keep the phone up to date. Therefore, the user is required to periodically invoke a 3rd party application to clean all the "unnecessary" data from the phone.
