JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Account Executive – Electronics, Robotics & Semi-Conductors Vertical is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling IP.com’s products and services to key accounts within the Electronics, Robotics and Semi-Conductor sector. This role requires a strategic and consultative sales approach. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry, a strong ability to communicate the value and an ability to demonstrate the execution of sophisticated use cases of our SaaS solutions to clients.

- Revenue Generation: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities within the Electronics, Robotics and Semi-Conductor industry. Experience developing a named account list of enterprise-level prospects is required.
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including executives in R&D, engineering, legal, and innovation teams.
- Consultative Selling: Understand clients’ innovation and intellectual property challenges and recommend tailored solutions from IP.com’s product suite. Expert level needs analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to create solutions that bring value for customers are critically important capabilities.
- Market Expertise: Stay informed about trends, challenges, and technological advancements within the Electronics, Robotics and Semi-Conductor industry to effectively position our solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Create and execute strategic sales plans that align with company objectives and client needs. Participate in internal quarterly business reviews to show how you are progressing with named accounts and customers in the industry.
- Presentation & Demonstration: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations that articulate the value and ROI of IP.com’s solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Accurately maintain and update MEDDIC pipeline data in Salesforce, providing regular forecasts and insights to leadership.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
- Travel: Support trade shows and other in-person events, to include in-person meetings with customers and prospects.

Qualifications:

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably selling SaaS solutions, innovation tools, or intellectual property-related products to mid-market and enterprise electronics, robotics & semi-conductor manufacturers.
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated success selling into the Electronics, Robotics and Semi-Conductor industry with a strong understanding of its innovation and R&D landscape. Candidates with a network of contacts and relationships you’ve cultivated in past roles preferred.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and close high-value deals with sales cycles ranging three months or more.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written, presentation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM & sales prospecting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, etc.) to manage sales activities.
- Strong proficiency with the use of software applications and PC hardware related to the sales process (e.g., MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Etc.) and the company’s software products (e.g., IP.com software solutions – InnovationQ+, IQ Ideas, etc.).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Intellectual Property (patent agent) or equivalent industry-relevant work experience is required.
