May and June 2019 Release Highlights
The next release of InnovationQ/InnovationQ Plus is scheduled for June 23, 2019, following a release on May 19, 2019. The updates include highly-requested features like Search History and Reporting and Preferred Document allowing deduped results to be prioritized by authority and more. New visual tools also make it easier to gain insight, and global patent and NPL coverage continue to expand to provide comprehensive search and analytics.
SEARCH HISTORY AND REPORTING
Search History tracks and records searches run in IQ/IQ+ with timestamps and can be used to pick up where you left off, easily step back to previous iterations, explore the history to see details of past searches and projects, or create a report.
Set preferences with Preferred Document to choose the representative family member for de-duped results. Settings include prioritized authorities, publication type (i.e. grant/application), and dates.
NEW AND ENHANCED MAP HIGHLIGHTS
Use the Semantic Map in new ways to understand a portfolio or technology space, spot trends, and more. In addition to Ultimate Parent and Current Assignee, new highlight options include: Publication Year, Inventors, CPC/IPC subclasses and subgroups, and NPL Authors/Inventors and Affiliations.
Create and save customized dashboards of up to six charts from Visuals, which help understand top players and inventors, trends over time, technical categories via CPC/IPC, AI-driven concepts in the results, and more. Access the most meaningful charts faster and see charts side-by-side to quickly gain insight into the results.
Pharmaceutical data, including drug brand names and active ingredients, linked to patents from the US FDS “Orange Book” and Australian Register is added to view, search, and export.
NPL RELATED TERMS
Additional keywords and categories, curated and proved by each NPL source, are added to view, search, and export. Understand documents quickly, and search the field to find similarly relevant NPL.
